If you are going to use muriatic acid to remove rust despite the heath risks, dilute it 1 to 10 with water. Work in a well-ventilated space, and wear dark glasses and gloves. Place the diluted water-acid mixture into a spray bottle, and spray it on the rust.
Pressure washers remove a number of stains from driveways and siding. Just be careful on the siding that you don't make holes.
CLR
I agree CLR. Calcium lime rust remove you can get from most grocery stores or hardware stores comes in a medium size jug. I used it for rust on patio pool deck and I use it a few times a year in the shower to take off any calcium soapscum, rust etc. I also soak shower heads in to to go etc the calicium cleaned out although vinGear works on calcium too.
just use eyew protection and gloves if you going to be using it in a way that it may splash or touch hands. It is a mild acid but much safer than muriatic acid.
