I have a can of Turtle Wax brand La el & Sticker Remover...is safe for automotive paint, and you can ask their experts at 1-800-887-8539 or www.turtlewax.com. If gum can be removed by using ice cubes to freeze it, I am wondering if similar might be true here. Get the sap and metal really cold and try lifting it off. Good luck.
Cream cleanser (Ciff) or rubbing compound
Try paint solvent on a rag and test in an inconspicuous spot first to see how it reacts. Do not do it in the sun. Wash off the car immediately with soap and water.

I wouldn't use the paint solvent idea, there is a good chance it will not only remove the clear coat off the car, but even some of the paint.
Methyl Hydrate, just like magic.
Should of told you to use it generously on the cloth as it evaporate. Owned a detailing shop and that's how we did it.
