Can I use a leaf blower to vacuum up my garage & basement?




The leaf vac is powerful. Wish to use in basement and garage to vac up various....bits of insulation, dust.Has anybody tested this idea ?

Remember that the impeller in the vac is going to shred whatever it sucks up. Don't try to suck up anything that will clog or damage the impeller.
Agree! The impeller is made only for shredding leaves. Anything else can damage the blades on the impeller.
Use a broom and dust pan or a shop vacuum instead.

If it's a blower/vac it is a nulcher. It chops up the leaves as it vacuums. Less recycle bags or bins to fill or to use a nulch.

Go to your local Facebook Marketplace. You will find several shop vacs for sale. A good shop vac is a worthwhile investment, but you can get a used one for little money. I think you will ruin you leaf blower if you use as a vac.
