How to remove creosote stain?

Creosote stain on field stone and concrete grout from flue pipe. My flue pipe from my wood stove leaked creosote at its connection on my field stone chimney on a rainy day. Any ideas how to remove the stain?

Ask at the hardware store. They have a product whose name begins with “M” and is used to clean chimney walls. Easy to use.
Try scrubbing with a Dawn, baking soda and hot water mix. You have a grease stain and this may help to remove most of it.
