How do I get brown spots out of clothes that hang in closet too long?

That would depend on the fabric each garment is made out of. Are you sure those spots aren't simply dust? -

Try soaking in oxyclean. -

Soak them in solution of ocyclean and rather warm water. Then you check them after awhile and see h they are doing -

Depending on what the items are worth, I'd use a dry cleaner. -

Soak them in Oxyclean for a while. When it looks like the stains are gone or close to it, put them in the washer with warm water and add more Oxyclean to your laundry soap. That's worked for me. -
