It is about 40 yrs old. I have tried bleach, cleaning products and homemade concoctions.
For most other stains: a simple solution of hydrogen peroxide, liquid dish soap and baking soda will usually do the trick. Mix these components together to create a stain-fighting concoction that goes directly on the blemished portions of your mattress. Blot clean with a clean wash cloth to get the job done.
First, vacuum all sides of it. Then sprinkle with baking soda, especially on any stains. Let sit to absorb odors and whatever dirt it can absorb. Vacuum up baking soda. Flip mattress and repeat. This should get out any odors and dirt, and pick up some stains.

Spray plain vodka in a spray bottle to clean and refresh, that will not change the stains though.
I used an Oxiclean mixture in a spray bottle. Worked on odor and stains. Follow directions on bottle to make solution.
