How can I make my interior closets smell like cedar without spending a fortune on cedar paneling?
I use a diffuser with essential oils. It works very well. if you have pets you need to be careful of which essential oils you use because not all are pet friendly. I most often use an orange citrus or vanilla essential oil.
I use a diffuser, offering all different scents. I also use a wax burner instead of candles.

You can use orange peels, apple peels, cinnamon, or cloves in any combination and place in a pot of boiling water and boil for 10 or 15 minutes. While still steaming you can carry it to other rooms. Or you can push several cloves into an orange in patterns and strategically place in baskets.
I love the above response!!! I have been using a diffuser in my bathroom with some essential oils. I also have a plug in candle wax warmer next to my front door so it smells nice right when you walk in. They work great.
If you have carpet, I like to make a deodorizing carpet powder with baking soda, diced rosemary, and a few drops of lavender oil. Sprinkle, let it sit for a bit, then vacuum up.
I use an essential oil diffuser or wax melts. I buy some wax melts, and I make some with essential oils.
