How to remove painted labels from glass bottles?
I need to remove the painted band names and ingredients list from liquor bottles. it will not scrape off with a razor blade, paint remover wont do it nor will paint stripper. tried heat...Nope. The only way I have found so far is sandpaper but that scratches the glass. Help

From what I've read, a good way to do it is to soak it overnight in some kind of acid - usually apple cider vinegar is recommended. Just be sure to soak it on the outside only. Let it soak overnight, then see if the paint will come off. You can try using a scrubbie with baking soda on it to get more off. I hope that works for you. Wishing you the best.

In many instances you need to boil the empty bottle.
Boiling it, will make the glue beneath the label, gummy and soft enough to peel It back, away and off with a knife.
