How do I clean oxidized windows??
They are my living room windows and are so bad you can't see out of them very good.
Use a vacuum Hose attachment to suck the dust and dirt off before anything, otherwise you will be rubbing the dust and dirt into the screen.
Try a lint roller after that to pick up anything you missed.
You should probably make that a cleaning regiment so you won't have a buildup in the future.
What are they made of? Wood/laquer, or fabric?
Since I don't know what your screens are made of, here are several ideas:

Hello Kay. Sounds like you have some antique Chinese screens which could inadvertently be damaged if in properly cleaned. It would be best to look up how to care for and preserve your antique screen. For your convenience, I have provided a link to some information about caring for your screens. It may be information overload but it’s better to know more about something rather than less because you wouldn’t want to damage your screens, which may not be able to be fixed afterward m. Good luck.

Thank you to Janet. I’ve nothing to add but will use the information myself.
Definitely have to be careful the material itself can be very fragile. the dyes could also bleed with moisture. I would try to look up a antique dealer that deals with Chinese memorabilia. they may have some ideas for you
