Hand turkeys. Draw around the hand . Thumb becomes turkey head and fingers are feathers. Another one popsicle sticks painted as feathers and glued together with one in the front middle as a head. Find very pretty leaves and place them between sheets of wax paper. Then iron the paper, using old towels on top and and under, to meld it together for place mats. Temperature should be on medium low. If you don't have an iron use a blow dryer on high, just make sure you have something holding down the edges so it won't blow off the table. Make acorn men and women. Lastly make a cone shaped cornucopia paint it like wood and fill with small candies as treats for after Thanksgiving dinner. Use for a centerpiece on the table.
Napkin rings are pretty easy. Use plastic shower curtain hooks for the base (Dollar Tree $1 for 12) Add 2 fall leave facing in opposite directions to the top and put a flower in the middle. You can use hot glue (I used the cooler one) or even a tacky glue. Or for Christmas 2 snowflakes and 1 flower - what ever you can find at the dollar store. If you use tacky glue, I'd use something to hold them up until they dry if using tacky glue. Maybe an overturned box with slits or even an egg carton, slitting every other space should keep them apart.
My goodness! Paper chains, stringing popcorn, beading on pipe-cleaners (candy canes are red and white, snowflakes are just white), mosaic pictures with colored papers (even tissue) and glue, handmade ornaments out of clear plastic ornaments and glue/glitter/paint. The list goes on forever... go to your craft or dollar store for more ideas.
