Not sure what type of organizers you are wanting to use, but I have hung shoe bags with clear pockets on hollow core doors (they come with over-the-top hangers) for storing shoes and also my thread "collection". Walmart also has an over-the-door full-view mirror. I have no experience with organizers on cabinet doors. Sorry.

Hi Beth! I buy organizers with brackets that fit on the top of the door so that I don't have to drill into a door. I've also used Command hooks for hanging things.

  • Hi Beth! I've used drywall anchors on hollow core doors before for my craft closet to hang shelves and bins. Keep in mind, the anchors and screws must be less than 1-1/4" long since that's the typical depth of an interior door. Also, you must make a pilot hole that's just slightly smaller than your anchor. The downside is that it's a pain in the rear to remove the anchors if you change your mind. When I sold my house, I had to cut the head of the anchor off with a razor and then push the remaining anchor into the door before I could patch.
