Get a Miter Box from Home Depot or Lowe's...not expensive and you want mess up if you follow instructions. it's the best way to go don't let them sell you the electric one. My dad used one all my life and we remodel the room in our house and I helped cut the corners with the miter box. Good luck

I love the wood and plastic ones that are available now because my sawing arm is not as strong as it use to be. The corners go in or out, at several possible angles, and they are already painted white. ☺️

if your not wanting to miter your crown molding in your corners and just want a block to butt your molding against. You can get 2x2 or 4x4 and cut the blocks to the length you need or want. sand the endgrain and you can route a decorative edge if you choose to. i’m Assuming your using painted Crown molding, so paint the blocks to match. If your staining the molding, you may need to get vaneer of the same spices of wood to glue to your blocks then stain
