What kind of wood floor would look good with my oak cabinets?
I have orangeish oak kitchen cabinets but want to put in a wood floor. The floor extends into the living room. Using the same flooring would enlarge the area. What kind of wood floor would look good with my wild grainy oak cabinets????

My art-major ex-husband always said a near-miss is worse than a far-miss, so I would go with a contrasting finish and species, maybe a dark hickory.
I would use oak but if the area is large you could go darker. Lighter color will make room look larger
