Put a piece of wick string in the middle using a stick laid across the top of container to hold the wick up straight. Wrap the top around once or twice and arrange the wick in the middle. Pack with ice chips around the wick. Pour hot melted wax over top. When set, trim the wick off.
My sister-in-law used to do this with old milk cartons. Glad to have another idea for the container! Make sure your container is larger at the open end than at the bottom.
