What's the best type of saw for a beginner in woodworking?
I want to start building things, and am not sure which type of saw is needed the most for the basics? Thanks in advance!

It really depends on what you are going to cut. If it's just some pieces of wood, with no fancy sawing needed use a tenon saw -

hand saws: one rip saw and one cross-cut saw. a miter saw and box are essential. If you want power tools start with the basic skil set and add a jig-saw when you need it. a basic drill is also required almost immediately. -
