How can I hang a picture on my wallboard bathroom wall?
I don’t want to screw anything into it. I would love to add a mirror but I worry that it might be too heavy and fall if I just stuck it on the wall.
Bead board makes great looking wainscoting... we did that in our laundry room.. just trim the top with chair rail molding
A half wall or three quarter wall of bead board with a chair rail or small shelf on top (shelf only on top of 3/4 wall, maybe 2" board) looks great! I really like the look of white bead board with a darker wall above (like dark gray). I think it would be fine on just one or two walls. Good luck!
I have one made out of fake tile in my bathroom. it is just between a half and a third of the way up the wall with a fake tile edging on top. I would like it if it wasn't a horrible green marbleized color with a black top edge and not strong enough to hold a light aluminum towel rod and hand towel without ripping out the fake tiles. Eventually I want to replace it with something else when we replace the sheet linoleum on the floor. Walls, flooring and painting the linen closet are what is left in our little bathroom.
You absolutely can do just one wall or half walls . Like Jeanne said put chair rail and contrast paint color.
I would not do just one, or two, walls of bead board. If you can't do all 4 walls the same, try doing bead board from floor to half-way up the wall. You could always add more bead board sometime in the future.
Most do the half wall with a chair rail moulding at the top.
