Can I modge photos directly onto a surface or do I need to copy first?

    copy unless you have duplicates of the photos.

      thanks, I don't need the pics, but just wanted to make sure photography paper is not to hard to work with

    Photo paper is thicker but I think it should work. Try testing a small piece first.

    I work a lot with images. If I were using a photograph, I would copy it. Also your copy, even if done on nice paper, will be not a shiny as a professional photograph. It is not necessary to use Modge Podge, Elmer's glue works fine. And if you use polyurethane to protect your image that will be stronger than Modge Podge.
