I used some
peel and stick metal tiles from Menard's to frame my bathroom mirror.
you could put wall paper around the edge, or
crinkle up tin foil dip in paint and dab around edge of mirror, or
if a small mirror edge it with beads ( a treasure from Grandma's jewel box.
or edge it in colored buttons from the $$$ store or vintage buttons from Grandma's button box. or
mount the plain mirror to the wall and glue cut measured baseboard trim around the edge.
ops I guess I am on a roll hope this gives you some ideas. Have a good day.
In a kids room you could glue plastic animals around the edge to make a frame.
