Can you antique or age a mirror that is already glued to a wall?

We bought a house that was built in the late 80’s. Our dining room has a built in buffet with a huge mirror on the wall above it. The dining room has beautiful hardwood floors, crown molding, chair rail and big base boards. It would be a nightmare to try and tear the mirror out and repair and match all of the molding. Is there a way to age/antique the mirror on the wall?

Are you talking about the framing on the mirror? You can, you just need to tape up the wall around the mirror to protect from paint, and tape up the mirror around the edges. I painted the frame of a mirror in my guest bath while it was up. I did a dry brushing technique to make it look distressed. I just taped everything up and covered my sink and it worked fine. Also cover any furniture/flooring underneath the mirror with plastic drop clothes to protect it (I use plastic because the paint can't soak through to the furniture/flooring underneath).
