You could wrap rope around the perimeter, or you could also do something more elaborate like this cool pistachio shell idea: https://www.hometalk.com/diy/decorate/mirror/diy-mirror-frame-makeover-upcycled-pistachio-shell-mirror-34777428
DIY Mirror Frame Makeover: Upcycled Pistachio Shell Mirror
You could paint it using a stencil to add a pretty design to it.
Hi Gail. You can glue tile or sea glass around the boarder.
You could cover the mirror with gift wrap and just tape the very edges of the mirror and of course the gift wrap. That’s pretty easy if you do spray paint. There is spray on adhesives, you could spray the lace, and attach it that way. You could even just leave the lace on it. Then maybe add some bling, around the edges, like pearls?
I frosted the edges, to make a frame around it. You can buy the frosting or etching in a hobby store. I had no frame on the one in the bathroom,so this really updated it too.
