Do you have any decorating ideas for my closet?

Our front hall closet is approximately 4' wide by 3' deep, 7' high with a 2' open space on top corner of it below the 9' ceiling. We'd like to put something up there that would display a novel, perhaps whimsical, friendly statement to attract a smile from arriving and departing visitors. (Sorry, not able to provide a photo, as we are away from home for a time.) All ideas appreciated. Dan icon

I don't know if you meant actual statement, but I saw 2 cute sayings at door entrances:

    • "Life is made of choices: remove your shoes or scrub the floor"
    • "Leave your worries and shoes at the door"

What do you think about adding a barn door to your closet? I love how this one looks.

I am absolutely going to make a sign like that for my Korean friend. I always forget to take off my shoes at my Asian friends' houses and I once lived in a country where it was expected, but am now out of the habit. For a person who hates wearing shoes, ME, you would think I would remember.

      Thanks for that.

How about a floating shelf? And then you can change the friendly statement and display seasonally
