How do I decorate both the headboard and accent wall?
i have a very boring wooden sled headboard. I want to make an accent wall behind it. The headboard is now painted semi gloss white and the wall behind is a very light violet. I wanted to stencil or decal it but perhaps a real nice wallpaper or wood would be better?

Have you thought of stencils? It might be nice to accent the light violet with a dark purple and maybe some silver for highlight. You could use the same stencil and color on the the headboard.
Sherry: Stencils are the way to go! ...you will be glad that you stenciled when it's time to update again... stripping wallpaper is a nightmare!
You can get stencils at websites like this: https://www.cuttingedgestencils.com
Have you considered lightly sanding off some of the color and then maybe shellacking it with a low gloss or shine product. You could try this on the back of your headboard in a small space and see if you like it. Get a product that will enhance the grain of your headboard. Definitely go from boring to you being Queen of repurposing!! Good luck!
