How do I decorate my half wall in my entryway?

My front door entrance has a half wall with wood top leading to my basement the other wall is full. The area is about 5 by 7 which leads to the livingroom. Thanks for any ideas. Love Love Love Hometalk!!!

You could do a gallery wall of either pictures, a collection fo things, or even a mature of pictures and a collection of things.
Hi there! I always seem to have a half wall in my homes. There are a few ways you could decorate it. You could stencil the entire wall or just add a border or a wall decal phrase on it. You could wallpaper it to create an accent wall, you could panel or shiplap it. You could leave it alone and make the wood top the focal point with plants or picture frames on it. Lots of choices. How about a vinyl sticker with a saying that fits your lifestyle. Hobby Lobby carries them and runs them on the 50% off frequently. That would decorate without adding volume. I know a lot of people have issues with busy areas and items getting knocked off.
