For pure decoration, make sure the book doesn't have any silverfish or mildew. Open the book to about the center. Use school glue or adhesive to glue the two sender pages together. For a large book, do the same at about 1/4 and 3/4 of the way through. Close the book, put something heavy on top, and let the glue dry. Then open the front cover and glue it to the first sheet. Do the same with the back cover and last page. Close, weigh down, let it dry. By doing this in two steps, you are making sure the inside will not move. Last step: cover the outside surfaces of the book with clear glue, or a brush-on sealer, in stages so that each surface has time to dry. Don't use spray adhesive or sealer on the outside because it will take many coats. Seal all the surfaces, including the page edges, again thoroughly, and let the book dry. For a large book, you may need more coats. Cost: glue 50c; or liquid sealer $1. Bless you 😇

Think I'd close the book, put tight rubber bands or bungee cords to keep it TIGHTLY closed, then paint edges of the pages woth ModPodge or other white glue that dries clear. Put a weight on the book and allow to dry. Repeat process.

Thank you both! I was afraid I'd have to glue each individual page!
