If it is etched you must buy new glass if it is faux and painted on try paint thunner
If the frost is painted on, it is possible to scrape it off using paint thinner/mineral spirits/paint remover. Be careful not to scratch the glass.
If it is sandblasted on, the frosted finish cannot be removed. It's better to simply replace the glass.
If it came that way, it may have been put on there to reduce the glare on the glass so that you can always see the picture.
have u tried 100% acetone, u can find in the automotive section and the beauty section, wear gloves
I might would try acetone (nail polish remover)
Thank you everyone. I have found that wetting the glass & using a razor blade to gently scrape the frost off is the only thing that works. It does come off fairly easy but is a slow process trying not to scratch or break the glass. Rubbing with a superfine steel wool removes any small spots & polishes the glass nicely.
