This is an old sunclock. I really like the piece but the clock no longer works. I would like to turn it into a cute outdoor decoration.

You could remove the clock hardware and paint the dial. Keep the temp gauge if it still works. Stuff can be glued onto the dial face. Maybe make a big smiling face.
Tape an extra door key on the back, a round Happy Face on the front, then mount it on the wall.
Just an FYI....you can get new clock mechanisms so maybe you can get your clock working again....Will look really cute outside whether it works or not.
Set it to 5:00 for a bar atmosphere, "it's 5 o'clock somewhere" or a time of day that has significance for you, when someone asks it'll be a conversation starter.
Cover over the glass with jewels, decorations, or paint it.
You could pop out the clock and add a piece of wood painted with chalkboard paint. Then you could add fun messages with the seasons. :)
Remove clock spray paint a desired color and get a thermometer for outside and attach where the clock was...
