I would like to put it over the canvas frame for stability - also can I put a finish on the wallpaper piece later.

You brush the mod podge onto the canvas with a brush and then place your wallpaper on it to glue it in place, pressing down and rubbing to make sure it goes down flat. You can even then brush a layer of mod podge over the wallpaper and it will help it to stay in place and act as a seal on your piece.Helpful Reply -

You brush the Mod Podge onto the canvas, then place your wall paper onto the canvas and let it dry. Once it's dry, place another coat of Mod Podge over the top to protect it.Helpful Reply -
