I just painted a linen lamp shade last week and I‘m surprised at how nice it turned out! I used coral acrylic paint from Michael’s and thinned it with a few drops of water. It took 2 coats to cover completely! Good luck!
There are kits to redo a lampshade. These are available on Amazon as well as in your nearby craft shop.
Depends on the shape. Use the old cover as a pattern and hot clue the new fabric to the frame.
Hello Regina, there are several kits available that can make recovering a lampshade much easier and fun! Hobby Lobby has a great lampshade recovering kit. In addition, if you are more a visual learner, there are some great DIY tutorials on YouTube.
Easy! Glue pieces of fabric to it. Lamp shades have sections. Cut the fabric to fit each section. Use whatever material you like. You can hang fanciful things from it too. You can paint the base to match the shade. Keep in mind you don't want to make it too opaque since you want it to shed light. Keep in mind when you're looking for appropriate fabric or paper...
