I just painted a linen lamp shade last week and I‘m surprised at how nice it turned out! I used coral acrylic paint from Michael’s and thinned it with a few drops of water. It took 2 coats to cover completely! Good luck!

Easy! Glue pieces of fabric to it. Lamp shades have sections. Cut the fabric to fit each section. Use whatever material you like. You can hang fanciful things from it too.
