Repairing a large salad bowl?

I recently purchased a large bowl --23x16--made out of monkey pod wood. It has 2 hairline cracks, any ideas on repairing?

If you aren't worried about keeping the original finish you could decoupage it with several coats of your favourite pattern (or plain colour?) Once it's dry a few coats of varnish to seal and it should be stronger than it ever was! Nikki www.bigredbarn.co.uk
