How to you stretch a shrunken wall tapestry?

I washed my wall tapestry and it seems to have shrunk. The cotton backing is perfect but the tapestry is now curled and buckled. Any suggestions?

Fill a sink with warm, not hot water and add some fabric softener or even hair conditioner. If the fabric is too stiff, you may have to soak it a couple of times. Once the fabic has softened, you need to wring the tapestry out & start gently stretching it, going from to side to side & gently pulling it back into it's original shape. Then lay it out on a towel to dry. Lay something heavy on each of the corners, to help it keep it's shape, while it drys. Check it periodically, in case you need to do a little more stretching. Good Luck !!!

lay a towel over it and lightly steam with the iron as you pull it so it fits the backing.
