What is your preferred style? Do you have a friend that you admire their decor? If so, ask for ideas from them. I have done that several times with a friend who has great taste and she never fails to point me in a good direction. Plus, they will be flattered that you admire their taste enough to ask for help.
Make a list of things you'd like to change! This will give you a good start! New curtains? New flooring? New paint color? Pillows? New furniture? SO many options!!
