Use a Sabre Saw (like in the pic) lots to choose from and if you are not intending to use a lot then a cheap one will do the job. Available just about all big box diy stores
Yes but you will have to use a metal cutting blade for thse bits, (so cut the majority of the wood first, then switch blades to cut metal) if you ask at the store they may have a universal blade that will do both
They make great outdoor tables- or cut in half to back to a wall. I have seen them places on castors to roll and shelving created to hold books,etc
