Magnum, unless you want to emphasize the sharp angles, I suggest an oval rug in the larger part of the L, and a round rug in the smaller if it is needed. You can prepare your visitors’ minds by using an oval welcome mat on the porch or walkway. I also suggest a large oval mirror or picture in the foyer. And maybe sconces near the right angles, too.
