Maybe purchase southwestern style fabrics, decals and accent pieces and use the fabric to cover lamp shades and hot glue southwestern style decorative pieces to each one.
What do your shades look like, what color are they? You could stencil southwestern designs on them depending on the color of the shade. Have you ever gone on Pinterest? They have many great ideas for all kinds of projects.
just buy shades at yardsale know the size and style you need. Get the SW design you like, use painter's tape and craft paints in colors you want, foam brush. Bought a $1 drum shade at yard sale, made chevron stripes with tape then painted in between black. Used shade for a ceiling fixture.
its all in the details. get your shades out and stain them with black tea water. use a leather belt around the top. paint the base with a spray paint tan or cream or tan over cream and distress.
Hot glue sisal rope on the shade as well as painting designs.
