Glass paint is fun, or alcohol inks
You could wrap them with twine and beads or fill them with pine cones and Christmas balls !!!
You could make cutouts of fast drying clay, and glue them on the vases. Then paint the vase all over, and go back and highlight features if you want to. Best wishes ☺️
We did a project using masking tape. Tear small pieces of tape and apply to vase. Then choose a paint that resembles old terra cotta . A red brown shade can make it look almost like cracked leather. Since you put the tape on the top part of inside it's best to use it for dry display. Use a clear spray overcoat to protect.
