Try using vinyl wood flooring planks for a great look.

They also sell peel and stick backsplash tiles at places like Lowes and Home Depot in many options, people really like these.

You can cut pallets up and stain with different colors and seal the boards. You would have to stager them and cut all ends flush but it would be pretty.

It would be great if the question was not cut off. Sheet Formica can be cut to make a back splash.
