Try folding a bandana into a long fold and hot glue into the inside brim.

  • Is there a crown adjustment on the inside? You can sew one in if there isn't an adjustment cord to do so.

Back in the early days of Beatlemania I wanted a hat like John Lennon but I wanted mine to be white. The only place that had that hat was a hat store. I was only 13 so the hat was too big for my head. The sales lady taught me that to make a hat fit a small head you sew small tucks in the band that is on the inside of the hat. I still have a small head and the tucks still work to make a hat fit me.

Pin a piece of elastic in two places in back of hat. Try on to check size before sewing in place. Hat will fit better and not blow away. Ive done this forever as most hats dont come in sizes. Have seen hats where someone has woven ribbon thru band and tied it to fit. Sorta changes shape of hat so havent tried it myself

Thanks for the link. Double-sided tape is the way I want to go. Now why couldn't I think of that myself?
