    thinset is not recommended except for tile and backsplash

      I had a bag of gray thinset mortar on hand,tried it on an old cabinet doo. it dried nice and hard and looks like concrete! a few coats of poly and it is the look i was going for! thank you or responding tho!

    Thinset is for adhering tile to walls and floors. Use drywall compound.

      i have a bag of gray thinset mortar on hand so i did this on the back of an old cabinet door. It looks like concrete! i will seal it with a few coats of poly...it exactly the look i was going for! thank you for the response
