Kim on Oct 27, 2015Your door is pretty, why change it. I made panels with fabric on both sides so it is pretty thru the window and on the inside of the house. I sewed (non-sticky) Velcro to the fabric and stuck the sticky velcro to the wood. The Velcro is white so it matches my wood, that way I you want to take the panels down it isn't noticeable. This could be a solution until you decide if you really want to change the door. I hope you can see picture good.Helpful Reply

Marie Alesi Caruana on Oct 27, 2015You might want to put shelves in the sidelight and use them as a feature for pretty things you have at home or change the decor on the shelves with the seasons.Helpful Reply

Jill on Oct 27, 2015No, you don't need to keep the sidelight or buy a new door with it. You can simply replace the door with a complete new pre-hung door, and reframe out the wall on that side, insulate it and put drywall up inside and siding or continue the stucco outside. But if privacy is the issue, you can either put up drapes on the window or frost it.Helpful Reply
