I would check for over-settling of the house. It may need to be shored up.
Could it be that way to allow for expansion of the wood. I know with laminate you have to have a space for just that purpose or it will buckle. Maybe it is the same with wood floors.
You must leave an expansion joint where walls meet a wall for wood floors to allow contraction and expansion. You can cover with a a quarter round or shoe molding
I doubt it's the dehumidifier and your floors look good. But you can check the humidity easily by picking up an hygrometer at just about any home store. (they should be where you'd find thermometers) Your relative humidity should be 40%. If it is lower due to heating in the winter, then you'll know. By the way, 40 - 50% humidity is the target range for people. If that's not an issue and you're just not liking the look or getting a draft, you can try tacking up some quarter-round molding.
I just used brown chalk. Made my floor look beautiful.
Your house maybe settling due to changes in the water table, we have the same problem, all of a sudden we noticed a gap between the floor and wall.
That was the best logic I could come up with that makes sense. At the same time, we noticed mice were getting in.
We filled in with a foam and then put 3/4" molding.
