Area rug under dining room table?
We are having new hardwood floors put in our dining and living rooms. Should we put an area rug under the dining room table?
Curl the edges under and set a brick on top to a few days till the fibres relax. Easy and done.
Use some command strips.
We have an area rug that we love, but it has the same problem with the curling corners. The roll under the corner and place a heavy object on top-works wonders, we did not use a brick because of tripping hazards. In our case we used the upright vacuum cleaner as the weight and having height. It is obnoxious for awhile, but we would trip on a low lying object especially when in a hurry and have forgotten it is there.
Roll the rug under. If you can dampen it, do so. When it dries, it will lay flat. You can also use double sided tape if you don't move the rug.
Try putting a double sided tape on the edges tha are curling to hold them down. You could also wet the edges again to relax the fibres, then weight the edges with brick or blocks or furniture temporarily
can you tack it down? or put potted plants on each corner
Thank you. I will try that. Appreciate your time to answer this.
