Why can't you place a polypropylene area rug on a heated floor?

You would be taking a chance that the poly rug would melt, or even catch fire. Even a melted rug can ruin your flooring and maybe even the heated floor. Cotton or wool rugs would work great. Rugs made for outside the shower are often cotton but more tightly woven than throw rugs and with no synthetic backing. Best wishes, Sue Ann. 😇💞Helpful Reply -
