It may be stressed by replanting. Give it water and appropriate fertilizer and time.
To bring them out, go buy a jar of Dill Pickles, put the juice at the root twice a year Spring and Fall you will be amazed at the beauty and fragrance...
Maybe add some fertilizer, slow release with a larger last number to feed blooms. Don't get anything larger than 17 (from what I was told at the nursery).
Hi Fran, Inadequate or excessive moisture can cause gardenia buds to drop before they open. Water the plant's soil when the top 1 inch of the soil feels dry to the touch; keep the soil evenly moist, and spread a 3-inch-thick layer of mulch on the soil to retain moisture.
