I Sure. It can be a hydroponic garden, without soil. Or, you can put a small amount of soil on top of a layer of pebbles, (fish tank rocks are a good size for your tiny bottles) for drainage. Then plant your seeds, lightly mist everyday, until the seeds have germinated, and sent up tender shoots. Then let the soil dry between watering, so you don't rot the roots or plant. Make sure they get sun, but indirect sun till they're fully grown, so you don't cook them. Remember, glass gets hot in the sun, and the soil will dry faster than, say, if you used a paper cup.
can you show an image of the bottles to jump start peoples'creative ideas please?
You can put the plastic bottles in the bottom of big flower pots to lighten the weight.
Tmaybe cut containers in half lengthwise and using the hollow area aligned in straight line filling with dirt and using as an edging
I think these would make the cutest little hens and chicken (succulent)holders and would be wonderful gifts to others.
