You need to add leaves or dry material or all you have is wet compacted food waste. You need to shovel and turn the content to let air in so it decomposes and worms can get in between to break the material down. I move my composter around the yard seasonally. Wherever it has been makes great growing space for plants as the worms are established and moving within the earth. Hope this helps.
