are you allowed to have additions in your site? I would have a professional do the dirty work, and dont for get to call teh county for a permit.
Don’t try this. Think about downsizing your room’s furniture. Do you need a king bed? Since you seem to be crafty consider building a platform bed which can partially elevate to store items inside of it. You can go to your local Habitat for Humanity resale store and see what is available. Do you see cabinets, perhaps glassware or dish size? Co-ordinate some paint colors for your new “look” and maybe distress the upper cabinets and secure along the top wall for storage. A suggestion is to put 2 cabinets up close to your ceiling and leave a space in the center for mood lights, pictures, etc. Check out your floor. Can you rip out the carpet and put in faux or hardwood flooring. The room is a manageable project for 2 adults. You can also look for flooring at Habitat for Humanity or in the back of the flooring dept for the best bargains. You won’t need much for your room. With careful planning and an eye to your vision you can do this. Set it up in 4 stages. 1. Work with partner on budget. Stay with the number but remember to go to the discount home stores to get the best bang for your buck. Purchase items. Set a budget and stick to it. No cheating!!! 2. Set up temporary bed in other room. Remove everything from room. 3. Begin project. Clean and dust, paint, plan out flooring layout or buy carpet. Maybe you just want an oval or round patterned rug. Work on new wood bed frame with air lift and additional storage. Stain or paint. Put cabinets for storage up on wall with display shelf in between cabinets. The projects listed here can be found on Utube. Look them over and see if you and your partner want to try this. It is cheaper to leave some part of the project out but you need to consider your option. Go small, or big! Good luck!! Remember family will come help. The bathroom is really professional territory but again you tube can help. View projects there.
Rather than enlarge... do this:
DECLUTTER!
Paint walls a VERY light color.
Use white or light linens on the bed.
Instantly "larger"!!!!!
