Painting floors in mobile home

Question

We live in a 16x80 mobile home in Michigan. I have pulled out the carpeting in the bathroom & am seriously considering doing the same to the adjoining bedroom. I would like to paint the floors, maybe do stencils in the bathroom, seal to protect them & use throw rugs for winter warmth. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I may accomplish this? BTW, I have small budget for this. Thanks!

My husband's aunt owns a tanning salon and she did the brown bag treatment on here floor. It came out amazing. It was a little time consuming because its a big place, but once it was done and sealed it was worth it.

i painted almost my entire MH home floors. They are plywood. In the bedrooms I did a decorative look with paint. But in the living area I stained them oak and went over that with oil based poly. They really looked good and were very durable. I used area rugs. If you decide to paint I do recommend sealing them with poly. We have since gotten new floor covering, but I had the painted floors about seven years.
