How do I fill the space above my microwave that's mounted on the wall?

I have a microwave mounted above my range. There are no cabinets above it but there is on each side of the microwave. I need a creative way to fill that space. The cabinets on each side of the microwave are 42" high.

Why not put shelves? You'll be able to either put something decorative or use them for storage of things you don't use every week.
I agree with the shelves. The microwave has to vent out the back and up.
They make cabinets that will fit above it. I don't like shelves in a kitchen especially above a stove (grease and dust on everything, yuck).
I would look for a cabinet to match and put it above the microwave. Good Luck!
