Could I make a pantry from 2 pre-fab wall cabinets stacked together?

I have done this in the past. I used wood glue to hold the pieces together and attached metal screw in brackets to the backside for added strength. You can then screw them to a stud in your wall. Hope this helps.Helpful Reply -

It might be possible for you to use brackets on the back to connect them together, and then you definitely want to attach them to the wall to prevent them from tipping over.Helpful Reply -

Yes, just make sure they are secured well to the wall. We actually used one on the floor with a top to put a microwave on. It sets under two double hung upper cabinets on top of each other up high on the wall. The microwave fits perfect. We have a tiny house, so cabinet space was at a premium.Helpful Reply -

Wanda Stephenson - Pre Fab cabinets are the wood cabinets are Particle Board? You can do this but you will need to secure the two cabinets together with wood screws or bolts . I prefer the bolts in each corner.(require drilling holes) Then be sure to secure to the wall studs to prevent tipping over. Your new Pantry.Helpful Reply -
