How can I paint over or change kitchen granite color?

I just bought a home and want to change the granite countertop color. Is there any way to do that short of getting new countertops?

Granite is natural stone and best not painted. It will not adhere and if you do not like the color, think about changing the wall color or even the cabinet color to change the look of the granite and compliment it more. Granite is a personal choice and the best way for long term beauty and care is either to replace the granite or live with it. good luck with your decision

Yes Renee is absolutely right. You could cover w a sheet of plywood w a glue and then use a counter reDo kit. If it bothers you that much. But I agree to change everything around it...you may be surprised how this creates a different look! Hugs
